Due to the current pandemic situation and the importance of maintaining client safety, I have switched to providing remote support until official guidelines allow us to return to face to face work.
I am accepting new clients and have appointments available currently for telephone or Zoom video sessions.
About me and my therapy practice
Hello and thank you for taking the time to review my profile.
I know how difficult it can be to decide to enter into counselling so, I offer a 15 minute free exploratory session, which can give you an opportunity to ask some questions about the counselling process and for me to explain how I work.
The core of my work is based on my belief that everyone has the capacity for growth and change, to create a life that truly works for them on all levels. My role is to facilitate and support you in this process.
I focus on issues surrounding grief, loss and navigating challenges within the workplace, I also help with a range of difficult feelings such as anxiety and those affecting self esteem however, will work flexibly with whatever it is that you want to bring to therapy.
I have experience working with a diverse range of clients and in addition to my counselling diploma I have completed additional training in domestic abuse, work place issues, bereavement and loss (Adults and Young Persons). I continue to complete training and learning as part of my continuing professional development
I have experience of counselling clients within an agency setting, I have been a bereavement volunteer counsellor with Cruse since 2014 and previously spent 7 years with Your Sanctuary providing helpline support to clients experiencing domestic abuse.
I offer a confidential, safe and non-judgemental space for you to explore any issues that may be impacting your life where, together we can explore your concerns and feelings. Acknowledging these thoughts and emotions can allow you to take the first steps in finding that inner peace.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework
With the ongoing Covid-19 situation I am currently working either online or via telephone.
