My first session
During your first session we will spend some time getting to know each other for you to assess me and for me to understand your needs as part of your assessment.
I will explain to you the GDPR (General Data Protection Policy) so that you have a clear understanding of how your information is stored and shared and also the limitations to confidentiality as part of safeguarding.
You will be asked to provide some basic details which is merely routine practice. We will discuss our working agreement and you will have an opportunity to ask me any questions and voice your expectations from me (as your counsellor) and the counselling sessions. This will take about 15 - 25 minutes.
For the remaining 35-45 minutes you will have some space to speak openly about the issues you are currently facing.
