About me and my therapy practice

I work relationally, believing it is important to build a strong working relationship; to work collaboratively and openly, challenging any areas for growth. Together we will explore the transferential feelings to gain deeper insights into your client's world and additionally, understand your own triggers and emotions. I believe that understanding one' self' is equally important within counselling; to be able to have a good level of self-awareness and not be complacent in knowing one's 'self'.

I work with YP and adults, individuals and couples supporting transitions with a variety of issues including anxiety, bereavement (including complicated grief), depression, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, self esteem, domestic abuse, Childhood abuse, trauma, relationship issues, and stress.

I integrate various schools of theory and techniques and support supervisees look deeper into the unconscious mind, transferential patterns of relating, working holistically for the best possible outcomes within clinical work.

I believe through working together, sharing openly, in a non-judgmental space creates professional growth and allows supervisees to feel supported.

We work together with a professional agreement and adhere to follow the principles and guidelines of the BACP.

Together, we review supervision twice yearly to ensure your needs are being met.

Practice description

I work mainly from home. I am happy to provide online, telephone or face to face supervision. Online can be equally effective, convenient if living some distance away as you can have supervision in the comfort of your own home. I also recognise for some in-person supervision is preferred. For f2f I follow covid guidelines and will email you these prior to working together.

My first session

Our first meeting will be us discussing the working agreement together, and for introductions. It is important I gain an understanding of you and the way you work, past experiences of supervision and vice versa.

There will also be time for you to discuss a client(s).
