About me and my therapy practice
I am a Person-Centred counsellor working in Horsham, West Sussex. I mainly work with young people helping them to cope with the everyday pressures that are part of their lives living in these times. I have been supporting young people with their mental health for over seven years in schools, colleges and community settings. I worked through the pandemic providing telephone and online counselling to local students. I also spent several years working at a hospice as a counsellor.
I can provide a confidential non-judgemental safe space where you will be truly heard and accepted. I believe that helping young people overcome their mental health struggles now, will give them the best chance to live with good mental health for the rest of their lives.
I have helped many young people with a range of issues and difficulties including anxiety, depression, low mood, bereavement, self-harm, suicidal thought and relationships by providing them with a safe space to explore how they feel and ways to cope with those feelings.
I am passionate about my work and through continuing personal development I keep my skills up to date and regularly add new ways of working with young people, to achieve good mental health. My work is regularly overseen by a qualified clinical supervisor.
I am fully qualified counsellor with a BSc Hons degree in Person Centred Counselling from Brighton University.
I hold an Enhanced DBS and I am fully insured.
I am also a mother of two young people.
