About me and my therapy practice

I know that beginning therapy can be anxiety provoking for people. I am a warm, compassionate and gentle practitioner. Colleagues and Clients confirm that I achieve these standards in my approach to therapy.

I have been working for the N.H.S. Neurodevelopmental Service for over 15 years and now work privately having commenced my practise in Psychotherapy and Counselling in 1993. I am in Integrative Psychotherapist and  work with Individuals and Couples and Organisations. I offer Consultancy and Training in relation to developing Counselling skills in the workplace.

I am one of few practitioners who can work effectively with People who have Intellectual Disabilities and Autism including those who cannot use "Talking Therapy" and use other methods of self- expression. I work with families who require their own emotional support when caring for their disabled child.

When an Individual/Couple come to Therapy, I recommend an initial Therapy Assessment in order to discuss the main issues of concern. I will then be able to recommend a direction in which to work. Assessments are usually held for 60 minutes . Therapy will also be held for 60 minutes, however, this is negotiated during the Assessment as sometimes the approach taken in Therapy may require 90 minutes. This may the case when applying Trauma Models of Psychotherapy.

I hold Therapy Clinics in Hampton Wick and Whitton/Hounslow Border.

I can offer reduced rates for students and people who receive Welfare Benefits.
