About me and my therapy practice

Hi, my name is Nat and I am a fully qualified integrative counsellor. I offer telephone and online counselling.

I am an honest, open, caring and compassionate counsellor and commit to working closely alongside you to offer my support to gently explore the challenges you are facing. I will listen thoughtfully and carefully to your individual needs and work with you to support you to better understand yourself and any difficulties you may be facing.

I work with a range of issues including depression, anxiety, stress and loss in all its many forms - from bereavement to loss of job, home, marriage, or children leaving home to loss of self, faith, identity and more… I run my own private practice as well as volunteering as a bereavement counsellor at a hospice; as a counsellor for an online adult mental health counselling service; and as an adviser on a bereavement helpline.

I have been trained as an integrative counsellor, which means I am able to draw on my knowledge of a number of therapeutic methods to inform and enhance our work together. I am primarily a person centred counsellor, which means that I wholeheartedly believe that by offering you a genuine, caring environment, where you won’t be judged, I can help to support you to better understand yourself and the problems you are facing - by truly listening and hearing you.

I fully appreciate that it can be daunting taking that first step towards seeking support, whether you are new to counselling or looking to return by finding a new counsellor. If you get a feeling from reading this that you might be comfortable talking with me please do get in touch.

It is also an opportunity to ask any questions and enable you to decide if we are a good match. There is no charge for this, and you are under no obligation to book a session.
