I am now working face to face as well as online, which is has proved to be as equally effective as face to face. I work during the daytime between Monday to Thursday.

About me and my therapy practice

I am very much of a relational therapist, who values my clients individuality and capacity to change.  I have been  Accredited with the BACP for many years and a fully trained and Accredited EMDR Therapist and qualified Clinical Supervisor. I incorporate various methods of talking therapy and traditional psychotherapy with Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) as it has been proved to alleviate the symptoms of distress and traumatic experiences.

I am trained to work with both adult and young people over the age of 14 years old.

I often bring in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) into my work to help my clients gain an awareness of how their thoughts, feelings and behaviours are interlinked.

Practice description

My training enables me to incorporate different elements of evidenced based therapies, such as Cognitive behaviour Therapy (CBT) and EMDR, along with my basic beliefs in psychotherapy. I hold the view that there is no single approach that can treat each client in all situations.

Therefore, my therapeutic techniques are tailored to each individuals needs and personal circumstances. Essentially, building a trusting relationship with my clients is paramount and by understanding their journey I aim to integrate a treatment that works exactly for them.

I have a breadth of experience as a counsellor, mentor and a lecturer, where I have worked in education, within the NHS and The Priory Group, whilst continuing my private practice. I offer a private confidential service either face to face or online, open to all ages and cultures.

My first session

This is an opportunity to get to know each other a little, for you to have a place to explain what you want to change or where you are struggling in life. It's a time for me to explain how I work, along with how I can adapt the treatment to fit in with your needs and move you forward.
