About me and my therapy practice
I am a professional and qualified counsellor with an empathic, supportive and realistic approach to working with people. I provide a safe space in which you can explore what is going on for you and will work with you around any goals you may have. I am also mindful that counselling may be the space you need to sit and talk about what it is that you are facing without a goal in mind or a solution to be found.
As an integrative counsellor I use a range of models to best suit the individual, so I can tailor the therapy to you and your needs.
I work from 2 locations; one in the centre of Bristol and one in Kingswood so please let me know which is the most convenient for you.
In response to the recent Covid-19 pandemic I can also offer online (zoom) and phone counselling.

My first session
The first session or initial session is an important opportunity for us to meet before agreeing to work together. It's so important that you feel comfortable with whoever you choose to work with and this session can help with this decision.
In this first session I will ask you about what brings you to counselling, what's going on for you at the moment and a bit about your history. We also discuss any hopes or goals that you may have. This is the first time you will meet with me so please only tell me what you feel comfortable with.
You can also ask me any questions that you have and I will explain how I work.
There is no pressure to decide at this session whether you would like to continue with the counselling sessions, you are welcome to go away and think about it.
Once a decision has been made we can book in the weekly counselling appointments.
