About me and my therapy practice
Finding a counsellor who is right for you takes alot of thought and in troubled times we can feel very alone. We need someone we can trust, who is compassionate, warm, and professional. To be listened to, valued, respected with sensitivity, care and confidentiality by another is a rare experience and is central to my work. In such a relationship you will find the conditions and support you need that will help you resolve your difficulties and move forward with your life. Together we can explore your concerns and feelings, and help you gain new understanding. You will find this process may help you towards the emergence of your own answers, growth or a sense of relief as you share your troubles. In the process, I will give you all the support and freedom you need.
The location of my counselling practice is beautiful and peaceful, much appreciated in itself. I am available between 9am and 7.30pm Monday - Thursday, and on Saturdays. The first session is an opportunity to meet one another and explore, without obligation, the nature of what you are seeking. We will be able to look at how we can work together, and decide whether to continue.
Although talking forms our main mode of communication, some people find they also like to express and explore their issues and themselves using other media. For those who feel it might help them, I have a Sand tray with small world, symbolic and representative objects, and a range of art materials available.
