It can sometimes be difficult to have set sessions each week as life moves so quickly at times, so I will be as flexible as I can to work with you to find mutually convenient slots. I do offer zoom and this can work very well to combat these challenges. It also means we can continue to have sessions no matter where you are. Face to face sessions are also available.
About me and my therapy practice
You are unique and an individual; and you are the expert on you. I will be led by what is important to you and the goals you would like to achieve by coming to counselling. It's a collaborative process but the counselling session is yours. It is a safe, non-judgemental, confidential space where we will find a greater understanding of yourself, which can assist you in making clearer decisions for your future.
We will review regularly to ensure the sessions are focusing on what is important to you.
I work across the main areas below but sometimes we can’t even know where our problems fit, so do contact me and if I feel I am not the best counsellor for you I will do my best to refer you to someone I feel can help you more
In life we do our very best to get on with the cards we are dealt with, and invariably push our problems, worries and concerns away and bury them. Our world can become difficult and challenging. We may suddenly face a change or choice that we can’t cope with or perhaps we haven’t dealt with something from our past. It can feel like having a splinter that is very deep and hurts. There are no visual signs for people to see what we are dealing with and at times we can ignore it because it “shouldn’t” be a problem, but every so often it reminds us of the pain we feel.
Change can be difficult. Choices can be just as difficult. Life itself can be difficult. Something may come out of nowhere and it can feel very overwhelming. Or perhaps you just can’t put your finger on what is wrong or why you are feeling the way you do. I will be by your side, be curious to see things through your window, feel things the way you do in a safe and supportive way until you are ready to continue your journey of life.
Coming to counselling can be very daunting and it’s important that you feel safe, heard and valued as an individual. I therefore offer a free 10-15 minute zoom/telephone consultation so we can establish if we will be able to have the relationship that will be helpful for you. I am able to offer short and long term work but also single sessions.
