I'm a Welsh person-centred counsellor living in and working from West Yorkshire in the north of England.

I offer welcoming, confidential and non-judgmental 50 minute sessions where clients can feel comfortable and safe to explore what's on their mind.

Therapy can now be offered in person at various locations, via video or telephone so please feel free to state a preference.

About me and my therapy practice

I strive to establish and maintain improved emotional wellbeing within clients.

Your goals from therapy will be established then explored to a level that feels comfortable in order to gain broader self-awareness, greater self-acceptance and inner peace.

Counselling can help to harness your existing inner resources to work through the challenges you're currently facing.

I'll facilitate individuals to prioritise your concerns, adapt your coping strategies and begin to come to terms with life's difficult events.

This is achieved by empathically accepting that your struggles are valid while building your realistic, achievable goals for the present or future.

Practice description

Some clients find it helpful to be challenged so that they can break out of old modes of thinking and behaving whereas other clients find it beneficial to utilise their existing ways of being.

Whichever way suits you best, I'm confident to work in that manner in order to enhance your quality of life.

My long-term experience enables me to offer effective therapy to a wide cross section of clients from a diverse population.

I non-judgmentally counsel a range of emotional and psychological difficulties with adults of all ages and backgrounds - helping them move forward to where they want to be in their lives.

Whether you'd feel more comfortable speaking to a counsellor via video so you can see facial expressions or via telephone so you can maintain a level of privacy; either of these can be accommodated.

My first session

What I've discovered to be a useful aim is usually to establish a rapport so that clients can quickly begin to experience some of the effectiveness of therapy.

I'm also aware that some clients might prefer to spend longer at the start telling their story in a linear manner before we begin to explore aspects of their experiences in greater depth.
