About me and my therapy practice
I offer weekly face to face sessions from my beautiful work space, a yurt surrounded by fields and trees, which is in itself a very healing environment to be in.
I am a person centred counsellor, but can also bring in other elements such as meditation and visualisation if you would like to work in this way.
I work mainly with women, and am also a Women's Circle holder as well as working closely with women through their rites of passage of pregnancy, birth, motherhood, peri-menopause and menopause.
I am grounded in person centred counselling which means I firmly believe in your inner strength and wisdom. Often what we need is safer, held space with someone who is willing to take this journey with us and stand by our side, offering us the space to explore our feelings and experiences. By being allowed to speak our truth, to be witnessed, heard and fully understood we are able to heal.
As your counsellor I am here to deeply listen to you with compassion and free from judgement in a safer and caring space where you can begin to bring meaning and understanding to what you are experiencing, supporting your sense of self worth and identity.
I work alongside and in collaboration with my clients, I am not here to tell you what to do but to support and be with you as we find a way through together.
My first session
When choosing a counsellor it's important to find the right person to do this work with, someone you feel you are going to be comfortable with and who feels safe and 'right' for you. With this in mind I offer a free half hour phone call if you are thinking of coming to work with me so you can get a bit of a feel for me and how I work, and ask any questions you might have.
