About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I am an integrated counsellor and treat everyone I work with as an individual. Therapy, therefore, will be tailored to your specific needs and situation. The aim of my practice is to help clients find resources to cope with issues and to identify, understand and resolve any underlying causes.
I believe in providing a warm, caring, non-judgemental and confidential environment to help you explore your current difficulties and work towards the positive change you desire. Together we will work at your pace and I will provide a safe and supportive place for you to process your struggles.
I offer an integrated approach to counselling but I have also trained in cognitive behavioural therapy, children and youth counselling and couples' therapy. I have experience in working with self-harm and suicide and have considerable experience supporting individuals and families who have been bereaved. I have worked with people of all ages and backgrounds.
I also have trained in supervision.
My first session
Your first session will be an opportunity for you to ask any questions you might have and talk through any concerns around the counselling process. You can talk through how you see your situation and what you are hoping to achieve from counselling.
If, at the end of this session you would like to go ahead and start therapy, we will agree on what you would like to focus on so that you can get the most value from your sessions.
