I currently have a waiting time of 6-9 months. My working week is from Sundays to Thursdays and my time slots in the day are 9:00am-10:00am; 10:30am-11:30am, 12:00pm-1:00pm, 2:00pm-3:00pm, 3:30-4:30pm, and 5:00-6:00pm. I take off 2 weeks at Christmas and Easter holidays and 1 month in July.   

About me and my therapy practice

I qualified as a counsellor from Leeds Beckett University in June 2023 in an integrative and relational approach. I am trained fundamentally as a humanistic (personal centred therapist), but I work collaboratively with the client, trying to meet their needs within my training and capability. I am also a qualified Somatic Experiencing practitioner, qualifying in 2020, so I can offer an embodied approach to my practice whereby I help clients connect to their bodily experience and understand the possible reasons their body expresses itself the way that it does and learn to relate to it better. I often help them understand how to connect to their fight/flight/shutdown responses and how to work with them.         

Practice description

Currently I work online only. I suggest working initially once a week or every two weeks. In the sessions, I provide a space for you to talk and reflect on the challenges that you face in your life. Between the third and fifth session I invite you to reflect on the sessions and give feedback what is effective for you and what is not so I can cater the sessions around your needs. I work long term with most of my clients and slowly taper the sessions as we progress. Therefore, they might start having sessions once a week and later on they may have a session once a month or even longer gaps between sessions once they feel they are in a better place. However, you can choose to work with me in whichever way serves your preferences and needs.

Once I have availability, I offer an initial free one hour free consultation for me to explain how I work, for you to explain a little a bit about what brings you to therapy and your goals and for the both of us to see whether I can help you.
