About me and my therapy practice
I offer a friendly and down-to-earth approach to therapy, providing a confidential and non-judgemental space in which to talk. With training and experience in the main evidence-based psychotherapies, I am able to work in a flexible and collaborative way, tailoring therapy to the specific needs of my client.
Practice description
I work with individuals experiencing relationship problems, anxiety, depression, unwanted thoughts or behaviours, or who simply feel ‘stuck’ in their circumstances. I am familiar with issues related to work stress and other professional challenges. My approach is to explore the root causes of issues in the context of a supportive relationship. I am committed to giving each person I see a thoughtful and professional experience of therapy within a non-judgemental confidential and trusting environment.
My first session
I begin all counselling work with a free initial assessment, at which point we can jointly decide if therapy with me is the right course of action for you. I offer this chat over the phone or online. This call usually lasts around 10 mins and is held with no charge or obligation. My working hours are flexible and appointments are available during the day and in the evenings.

Practice description
I work on a one to one basis and listen with compassion and empathy, to what it is that brings you to therapy. I encourage you to say how you are feeling without being judged, to allow you to manage past negative beliefs and move on in a more positive way.
I listen to what brings you to therapy, and give you the space and time to explore difficulties, and why you are feeling as you do.
My first session
The first session is an introductory phone call where you can bring what you are experiencing and gives the opportunity for any questions about therapy that you may have.
The call is free and gives you time to see how you feel talking about things maybe for the first time, and from there we can plan to meet on a regular basis. Nothing is too small to bring.
