About me and my therapy practice
In light of our present worldwide situation where we are advised to have minimal contact and anxiety relating to the Corona Virus is an increasing issue, I have adapted my practice to provide ONLINE COUNSELLING using a range of methods to suit everyone.
These include FaceTime & WhatsApp.
Originally a registered nurse I qualified as a Person Centred Counsellor in 2009. I have experienced a variety of counselling placements working in organisations such as ChildLine, Cruse, Place2Be and local churches.
I have done additional training in working with children and young people and hold an advanced DBS check for this purpose. In order to expand my knowledge framework and support clients with a wide variety of issues, I am working towards becoming a Deep Release therapist.
As a result of all these different experiences I offer Person Centred Counselling, with an option to integrate various useful creative tools that are traditionally from other models of counselling the client may find helpful.
My first session
The first session is an opportunity for me to get to know your story a little and for us both to work out if we connect on the basis of being able to work together. I will ask you to sign an agreement that I will have emailed to you before, so you have time to look at it without pressure and with any safe person that you would like to share it with. The first session tends to be a general session so we both understand the boundaries of what we will be doing together in the work.
