About me and my therapy practiceI am an individual, couples and psychosexual therapist. I have many years’ experience in numerous aspects of individual and relationship therapy with people of varied sexual orientation and cultural backgrounds. I work with anxiety, depression, loss of confidence as well as a variety of relationship difficulties.
No two people respond the same way to a problem and my work is tailored to the needs of my clients, either short term to address a specific issue, alleviate anxiety, the fallout from affairs, the distress of sexual problems, or longer-term to make sense of deep-rooted and long standing concerns for individuals and couples.
My aim is to help clients to understand the effect of early family and childhood experience and its influence on what is happening now. Change comes with understanding; understanding brings freedom and clarity and allows clients to make informed choices about their present and future.
I adhere to the BACP code of ethics and undertake regular supervision.
During the Covid-19 pandemic I am working only on Skype or Zoom. Fees will vary according to length of session and can always be discussed.
My first session
During the pandemic I usually suggest an introductory phone call or short online meeting at no charge. If possible logistically, I may suggest an initial session in a suitable outdoor venue which would be charged at the agreed rate.
