About me and my therapy practice
I offer counselling and psychotherapy to individuals of any age, couples, families, adult sibling groups and young adults.
I also have years of experience in assisting couples and families through the process of separation and/or divorce and 'step-family'/re-constituted family dilemmas. I have worked within the NHS as a family and couple counsellor, within GP surgeries with individuals and couples, within schools and university counselling services, for Relate as a young person, couple and family counsellor and for Employee Assistance Plans.
My private practice is influenced by over 20 years of work in the above contexts as well the professional therapeutic training to Masters level that I have undertaken. I am both a registered and senior accredited BACP Psychotherapist and participate in Continuous Professional Development in order to keep abreast of all developments in order to give my clients the most ethical and professional service possible. I also facilitate and teach Continuous Professional Development to qualified counsellors.
Before training as a psychotherapist I worked in Human Resources.
I work from an office in Central Winchester - parking is available outside the front door. The train station is about a 15 walk away and there are bus various bus routes close by.
I endeavour to meet with clients within a week of first contact and am able to accommodate clients whose working patterns do not allow regular weekly meetings.
I am BUPA registered so am able to provide sessions to those who have BUPA health insurance.
