About me and my therapy practice
Update with regards the current COVID-19 pandemic.
Unfortunately due to the current pandemic I have temporarily postponed face to face counselling. However, I am able to offer telephone sessions until I can resume seeing clients. I am very aware of increased levels of anxiety due to the uncertainty of current events. If you need support, even if temporarily please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Searching for a counsellor can be difficult, especially at a time when we could be feeling vulnerable, anxious, depressed or maybe bereaved or struggling with a relationship. I understand this process and the difficulties it can bring which is why I offer a 30 minute free meeting with no obligations. This is a time where I introduce myself, where you can see where I work and explain exactly what you can expect from our time together. I believe that the relationship between counsellor and client is the heart of the counselling process therefore choosing the right therapist for you is key to the work.
I have extensive experience in childhood trauma, abuse, depression, anxiety, bereavement, addiction, low confidence and or self esteem, relationship problems - including domestic violence. We can work together with whatever is troubling you and I will support you to find greater clarity, understanding and peace of mind.
I offer a full 60 minute session, usually once a week. My hours are flexible and I also offer limited weekend sessions. Sessions do not have to be at the same time, same day each week as I work to my clients needs. I work from home to provide an informal, warm and safe space.
