I have availability between 1pm and 7pm on Mondays and Tuesdays. I can offer a free 15 minute phone consultation if you would like to speak before our first session.
About me and my therapy practice
Do you feel you have to put on a face in the morning so that the people around you can’t see how much you’re struggling? If you can identify with this then maybe the time is right for you to seek counselling. I can offer a space that is entirely yours for you to express your feelings without fear of being judged, talked over or disbelieved.
I’m a person-centred counsellor with an interest in early trauma, but I have worked with a variety of clients on things such as anxiety, depression, social anxiety and low self-esteem. I like to work at the pace of my clients, to build a strong therapeutic relationship so they can feel safe and supported to explore their past, present and look to their future.
Early trauma can affect the way you see yourself now, as an adult. It can affect how you interact with people and with the world around you. I can help you to explore these feelings in a space that is entirely for you; where there is no need to hide or pretend. You will be accepted and understood.
My first session
I work in Causewayside, at The Edinburgh Counselling Studio, in a quiet and confidential space. We will talk about what brings you to counselling, what you would like to work on and any questions you may have. If we decide that we might be a good fit for each other, then I will support you to look at yourself and work with what we find.
My sessions last an hour and will take place in the same room at the same time each week. I can also offer online counselling if we still feel fit to meet, but have to pause our face to face work due to the pandemic or other illness.
