About me and my therapy practice
I am a counsellor, psychotherapist, supervisor and trainer. In my career of over 40 years I previously supported adults, children and young people in roles in the NHS and voluntary sector and have worked as a counsellor and psychotherapist for the last 20 years.
I offer a compassionate and supportive relationship, where you can talk about yourself, your life and anything you are finding painful, difficult or confusing.
It is an opportunity to for you to think about and understand yourself more and to consider changes that may improve your life, relationships and how you feel. I am experienced in working with a wide range of concerns and difficulties.
My practice is based in Thame, Oxfordshire and online.
If you would like to ask me anything, please feel free to get in touch by phone or email. On my website you will also find more information about me and how I work.
My first session
At our first appointment I will ask a number of questions so that I can understand you and your concerns and to consider whether I have the right skills and experience to help you. You will be able to find out more about me and how I work to consider if I am someone that you would like to work with. If we agree to work together, I can offer either short term therapy for an agreed number of sessions or on-going longer term therapy for as long as it is helpful. Sessions are weekly and on the same day and time each week.
If you are looking for a particular type of therapy, my approach is Integrative, which means that I draw on a number of psychological theories and concepts which can be helpful in bringing understanding to issues or situations you want to think about and change. I can also work with you to consider practical tools and life changes to support and improve your emotional well being.

About me and my therapy practice
I offer a supportive relationship to reflect upon your work, practice and role. Supervision is a working alliance to consider yourself and your work; receive observations, feedback and where appropriate, guidance.
As a supervisor I encourage you to bring your whole self to supervision; so we might fully consider your practice or role and your awareness of self within it.
As a trained supervisor I work to an integrative supervision model in which I am respectful of each person’s style, orientation of practice and personal philosophy. I am keen to support individuals’ understanding of work-life balance in order to maintain well-being and personal growth.
My therapeutic approach is relational and integrative, I have additional training in working with the arts in therapy, therapeutic youth work and grief and loss.
In addition to offering supervision to therapists, I work with people across a range of the helping professions including voluntary sector workers and managers, youth workers, healthcare professionals, support workers and clergy.
