Availability

Unfortunately I don't currently have any new therapy sessions available at the moment.

When I do, I offer daytime sessions either in person or via zoom.  I am available to contact Mondays to Wednesdays.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer a compassionate & supportive relationship where you can talk about yourself, your life and anything you are finding painful, difficult or confusing.  Therapy is an opportunity for us to work together so that you can understand yourself more and consider what may improve your life, relationships and how you feel.

I can offer on-going short or long term therapy or fixed term therapy of a set number of sessions. I usually suggest that we review our work together after your first few sessions to consider if you are finding our work together helpful.

I believe therapy to work best when sessions are regular to build trust and maintain continuity. When we agree to work together, I usually offer sessions at the same time on the same day with sessions lasting 50 minutes.

I have additional training in working with the arts in therapy if that is something you are interested in.

I hold a current enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.

If you would like to ask me anything about myself or the way I work, please feel free to get in touch by phone or email.

My first session

Our first appointment will be a chance for us to get to know each other and to consider if we can work together in a way that will be helpful for you.

You will have the opportunity to talk about yourself and what has brought you to counselling. You may also want to ask me questions about therapy and the way I work. I will ask you some questions to help me understand you and your situation better. I will also ask about your general health and the contact details of your GP.

At the end of your appointment we will consider the next step; we may decide to organise more sessions straight away: or you may wish to go away and think about this further. I will consider if I have the right skills to work with you; if I believe that another type of therapy or someone with different skills to mine would be better suited to you I will discuss this with you.
