About me and my therapy practice
Everyone is valuable, important and has the right to feel safe, happy and fulfilled. Sometimes people get "stuck" or experience distressing feelings and overwhelm. Perhaps you feel anxious or depressed or just have a sense that something isn't right? I provide a safe place to explore troubling feelings and gain clarity, understanding and acceptance. I am interested in the mind body connection and in particular how health issues and chronic pain can impact on our emotional resilience and ability to cope.
I always treat you with respect but counselling is not always fluffy - sometimes I might gently challenge you to look at things in a different way. For example, do you have fixed ideas about how you "should" be or act? Are they true? I also teach you techniques to help you deal with troubling thoughts and emotions and build your resilience.
I understand it can take a lot of courage to reach out to ask for help. I promise to treat you with respect and care. You will be safe with me and you set the pace we work at.
