About me and my therapy practice

Taking that first step towards therapy can feel daunting, but you're not alone. Some common experiences that brought you here may include:

  • Feeling stuck or stagnant: You may feel numb, unmotivated, or like life is on autopilot. Therapy can help you identify what's holding you back and move forward.
  • Loss of control: Are your emotions running the show? Therapy can equip you with tools to manage stress and navigate difficult situations with greater control.
  • Yearning for change: Do you crave a sense of peace and fulfilment? Therapy can help you process negative feelings and build a path towards lasting positive change.
  • Chronic unhappiness or depression: Life shouldn't feel like a struggle. Therapy can help you rediscover joy and reconnect with the things that bring you happiness.
  • Unexplored parts of yourself: Do you have lingering questions or unresolved issues? Therapy provides a safe space for self-discovery and personal growth.
  • Trauma exploration: If you suspect past experiences are impacting your present, therapy can offer a supportive environment to explore and heal from trauma.
  • Anxiety and depression: These are common struggles, and therapy can provide effective tools and strategies to manage them.

Therapy offers you a chance to stop, pause and take a breath - a chance to re-discover what matters to you, a space to talk. Working together will enable you to explore your emotions, thoughts and beliefs.

It’s important for you to know that I respect each client and their story as unique and in recognising that, my therapeutic approach is not one-size-fits-all. By working together - with you as the expert on your life - we’ll explore new insights, develop fresh perspectives and challenge limiting thoughts, beliefs and behaviours focusing on understanding how your experiences have shaped you and your life.

Practice description

I integrate traditional therapeutic approaches with elements of neuroscience, mindfulness coaching, creativity, and body-based psychotherapy, tailoring the experience to your unique needs.

With over a decade of experience working in primary education, I have an in-depth understanding of the unique, complex challenges and the high volume of demands leading to decline in mental health, manifesting as anxiety, depression, exhaustion and contributing to staff burnout.
