About me and my therapy practice

My passion is supporting creatives and those in non-conforming careers and lifestyles, including but not limited to artists, activists, writers, musicians, freelancers and entrepreneurs.

I know these avenues require a huge amount of integrity, bravery and vulnerability, and that this can sometimes contribute to feeling anxious, stressed, scared, isolated and/or exhausted, or amplify other issues that you’re facing.

With me, you'll find a safe, supportive, confidential and compassionate space where you can share and explore what's happening for you without judgement. As a qualified therapeutic counsellor, I'll use my knowledge and experience to support you in identifying and exploring the challenges you face.

I’m an integrative practitioner, meaning I am trained in several different therapeutic models, theories and approaches that I blend together in my work. This gives me a broad knowledge base to draw on, and allows me to be flexible and responsive in adapting to what you need, making the therapy a collaborative, co-created process that is individual to each client.

You can find out much more about me, my background and how I work via my website: https://rebel-therapy.com/about-me/

Practice description

Rebel Therapy is for punks and poets, baristas in bands, anarchists and artists. It’s for ravers, screenwriters, sex workers, drag artists, dancers and dreamers.

Developed in response to my decades of experience as an active participant in my local queer and arts communities, Rebel Therapy is a therapeutic counselling service for anyone who feels like an outsider.

It’s for those who feel like their politics or sexuality aren’t always welcome in their workplace, family or community. It’s for anyone who feels like they’ve ever had to hide a key part of who they are.

It’s for multi-hyphen misfits who don’t fit into tidy categories when it comes to describing their identities, priorities and passions.

The core values of my therapy practice are: self-acceptance, self-compassion, authenticity and intersectionality. Together, we’ll work at your pace to identify where you want to be and what will help you get there.

Not sure if I'm the right fit for you? Have a look at my FAQs for more about me, or drop me a message with any questions: https://rebel-therapy.com/faq/

My first session

If you want to book a session, the first step is a free half-hour phone consultation so we can get to know each other better, and explore together the ways I might be able to help. If we both feel we're a good fit, we'll look to book in a first session from there.

You'll find more details about this process and how to book your initial consultation via my website.
