About me and my therapy practice

As an integrative counsellor and coach I am here to walk alongside you, to gently challenge and reflect back to you and to create space for insights that allow you to grow. My therapeutic skills allow me to step with you into difficult areas and begin to heal. My coaching skills enable me to share tools and concepts to help you move forward, gain confidence and reach your goals sustainably.

Practice description

Brightwood Counselling is a space for everyone to access support and help to make the life changes they want. I am an integrative counsellor and coach which means that you can choose to have counselling or coaching with me or we can bring them both together - whatever journey you feels suits you best after our initial 15 minute free consultation. I create a safe warm non-judgemental space where we can explore the past, present and future together.

Using Integrative Counselling which draws from the experience and evidence of hundreds of years of one-to-one practices, I work to help you find your own unique path to becoming who you want to be.

By bringing in Coaching I can help you to bring about change by focusing in on where you want to be in life and bringing in interventions to ensure you reach your life goals in your own uniquely effective way.

Integrated Counsellling-Coaching brings together the most effective aspects of counselling and coaching in a powerfully transformative exploration and intervention, lead by you, where I facilitate your personal change capacity.

My first session

In the first session together we will begin to explore the challenges that have brought you to our space and start to identify where you would like to go. This goal may change during our journey as we work together to address the challenges you face, as I reflect back the person I see before me and we draw on your existing resources and look at options we can bring in to try and test out to move you onwards. I will be assessing and sharing with you my perspective on where you are and with this checking in and adjusting so that everything chimes with and is owned by you in this your process. We will then continue to progress through out sessions with an eye on reviewing every six weeks to reflect back on where we have been and look ahead to where we want to eventually end up, a space where you feel capable of embodying the changes you have made, taking them with you for sustainable change. This is your journey, you own it and you live it.
