About me and my therapy practice
Leadership starts from within, Relationships start with self. I offer a safe, confidential and non judgemental environment in which to explore and discuss personal and professional concerns, recognise and develop your own resilience, open up to possibilities, opportunities and a new way of being, individually or together as a couple.
Relationships are difficult, counselling can help you to understand yourself and others, to manage stress, to expand limiting beliefs and goals and to cultivate new pathways to build skilful communication. We work towards strengthening your ability to face challenges, create self awareness and bring results for caring and compassionate relationships within a sensitive and supportive environment.
I am a professionally trained Co-Active Life Coach (PCC), educated with the globally renowned Coaching Training Institute (CTI) and accredited and a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) focusing on leadership, personal development and resilience.
I am a certified Relationship Counsellor MBACP and MNCS working with Relate.Org.UK as well as my own private practice.
I have trained in Positive Psychology and am a certified Mindfulness Educator, incorporating all of these skills and tools for an integrative approach.
I am a certified EMDR Therapist, a member of the EMDR Association UK. EMDR therapy helps to move the storage of a disturbing memory from the past to a more functional part of the brain through gentle bilateral stimulation from eye movement. This enables us to respond to the present without the past interfering.
I am a qualified and experienced online coach and relationship counsellor, working for the past 8 years both face to face and online helping individuals and couples through counselling and coaching. I work with clients from all ages to and beyond retirement, both individually and couples from all different backgrounds.
Our agreement includes weekly, fortnightly or as agreed, sessions at 55 minutes each on the secure and encrypted Zoom for webcam or face to face.
Ideally, we will “lock in” a time that works consistently for all of us. If you are on vacation or need to change the day and time for any reason, we can rearrange what is best. If I am traveling and we have a session I will let you know in advance and, generally, we will rearrange our appointment time. Rescheduling an appointment is easy with advance notice.
Sessions cancelled with less than 24-hour notice will be charged for.
I will send you the Zoom Link to access our session the day before. If at the time you have any issues logging on, please email to let me know and if for some reason we experience technical issues during our session I will reconnect with you by telephone.

My first session
Discussing your most personal worries & concerns with someone who is effectively a stranger to you can be a big barrier preventing you from getting the help you need. For this reason I offer a 30-minute complimentary meeting to help you make that first step. Appointments can be scheduled for mornings, afternoons or some evenings.
