About me and my therapy practice

During this uncertain period of the CO-vid virus I am working on zoom, by phone and outdoors at a distance. I am passionate about people and relationships. I offer commitment, transparency and experience to your therapy experience to support you to reach a place where you feel more content and in control of your life. My independent practice began in 1995, after having worked in other caring roles before I trained as a therapist. I have had many years of my own gestalt therapy and of integrating my own developmental experience and therefore appreciate how difficult it can be to pick up the phone to embark on your own therapeutic trail. I therefore seek to make this as easy and as enjoyable as possible by offering you warmth, respect and love. I work both in my room which is private, accessible and styled to have full-on textures and relaxation and at the same time be conducive to work. I also work outdoors because nature can be nourishing to our spirit and senses and in that way can be transformational, particularly in combination with the therapeutic relationship. You will always be offered hot and cold drinks and anything we think of together to make the therapy possible. All my work is underpinned by the Person Centred philosophy and I therefore work to your agenda to find your own expertise and ways forward. I combine a deeply understanding approach with a dynamic and straight forward attitude. As a therapist and coach I create an environment of acceptance, warmth, transparency, honesty and respect. I have also had additional training in the body’s response to trauma from Babette Rothschild and I specialise in childhood, birth, injury and single event traumas. Please do get in touch if you would like to have a conversation about your therapy and ask any questions about how I work.
