About me and my therapy practice
I am a BACP accredited and registered counsellor with over 15 years' experience. I have particular knowledge and interest in working with young people aged 14-25, and also people with eating disorders.
Being heard, accepted and understood can be a powerful experience. This leads to greater insight into thoughts and feelings, greater self-acceptance, and the confidence to change patterns of behaviour. I believe that we all have the resources to grow and develop within us. Wellbeing and happiness occurs when a person can express their innate and unique potential to be their true self.
My approach is centred around the quality of the relationship between the client and counsellor. If a person experiences an empathic relationship, where they are genuinely valued and viewed optimistically, they can flourish. I offer a warm, non-judgemental and confidential space to explore your feelings and talk about whatever difficulties or distress you may be experiencing. We will work collaboratively at your pace.
I have a Post-Graduate Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling and a Diploma in Integrative Supervision. I work as a counsellor for an eating disorders charity, and for many years worked as a counsellor with young people for a Norfolk-based charity.
