About me and my therapy practice

My name is Antony Constantinou. I am a Counsellor and Psychotherapist working from my consulting room in the Kings Road area of Fulham and Chelsea. I also work with clients online on Skype, Zoom and offer walking therapy on request from Wimbledon and Wandsworth.

I studied In Psychodynamic Counselling at London’s Birkbeck College University and then went on to train In Person centred counselling at Middlesex University. After an extensive amount of experience within the NHS, charity sector and private sector, I went on to establish myself in private practice.

I continue to train and commit to continuous personal and professional development to keep up with the code of ethics set by the BACP. I then undertook many pieces of training such as clinical assessment, drugs and alcohol abuse, anxiety and depression and personality disorders. I am currently completing further training at the renowned NHS Tavistock and Portman trust where I expand my knowledge and practice of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.

Why Counselling and Psychotherapy?

People decide to come to therapy with me for a variety of reasons. Sometimes they are experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, lack of confidence or are simply feeling stuck. In other situations, they are grieving the loss of a loved one or are struggling with a traumatic event.

Often, people want to learn new ways to manage their stress. This is especially true during periods of change and transition in their lives, such as marriage, pregnancy, parenting, moving, divorce, change of career, illness, and other major life moments.

I work with you to help you gain a better understanding of your feelings and inner conflicts. Key steps include identifying unhealthy, repetitive patterns and making connections with early life experiences. This will enable you to make positive changes and healthy decisions, reinforcing your strength and confidence.

Practice description

I have been working from my practice In Fulham for over a year now where I meet with clients from all walks of life. Before this, I established my practice in the Covent Garden area of London where I met with clients who worked from the city and beyond. In addition to my clinical work in private practice, I provide professional consultation, group counselling and health assessments within the private sector.

My first session

The initial consultation

The initial consultation is the first step you will make when contacting me. This is to help you have a clearer idea of what you are looking for, what the various kinds of therapies are, or even whether a talking therapy is right for you. Sometimes it can even be hard to know what is wrong, or whether your concerns are valid. The consultation will support me in understanding you and the best possible path forward through Psychodynamic exploration and assessment.
