About me and my therapy practice

Are you feeling stuck or unmotivated? Opening up to someone you don’t know can seem daunting. I offer you accepting and warm support to explore different aspects of yourself. I believe that talking with someone in a non judgemental space increases awareness around the parts that seem stuck. I am a humanistic counsellor and believe that we are all uniquely different and will adapt my way of working to who you are.

Part of our work together may involve exploring differing thoughts and feelings and some experiences from your past and how they affect you now.

I offer a 30 minute free introductory phone call or online session from which we can discuss what your aims for the sessions might be and how I can work with you on this journey.

Practice description

I have a diploma and BSc in humanistic counselling and am registered with BACP. As well as working privately, I have volunteered for various counselling organisations, including a bereavement setting for 4 years and an LGBTQ+ organisation.

I am passionate about providing a safe inclusive space to explore different issues related to identity. Some of the areas I have explored with clients include: sexual orientation, gender identity, relationship issues, coming out, internalised homophobia and exploration of own identity.

I have a background in working within the health sector, specifically in a cancer setting. I have some understanding of how physical health can affect mental wellbeing. My background of working within a women wellness sector also informs my practice as a counsellor. I am passionate about providing mental health support for those who are experiencing hormonal changes within their bodies. I offer a space to explore these changes regardless of how you identify.
