Availability
I currently have availability at select times on a Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, and on Friday I can offer late afternoon and evening slots. I can afford a little flexibility so if none of these hours work for you drop me a message and I'll see what I can do.
About me and my therapy practice
I'm an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor and this means that I am trained in and draw upon theory from the main psychological schools and tailor my approach to the unique individual that you are. I don’t apply a particular method to you but rather meet you where you are, and we go from there.
Just as there is no one set way of being, I believe there is no one set way of working therapeutically so our therapeutic relationship and the rapport we build is important, so I offer a free 30 minute consultation to introduce ourselves and check our 'fit'.
I take a fundamentally trauma-informed approach, considering any challenges and issues that may arise in every aspect of human experience and self-image. We can explore whatever you bring, such as but not limited to trauma (either complex trauma or a particular traumatic experience), abuse (of all kinds), identity issues, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, addiction, eating disorders & loss.
I am passionate about the theories that I draw upon, my framework includes elements and training from the three main schools (humanistic-existential, psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioural) and more; such as Gestalt, theories which work with nervous system dynamics, somatically with the body and I am also interested in working creatively.
Practice description
I offer long-term exploratory work, depth work and more short–term focused counselling that can look at specific issues depending what your wants and goals are, and what is best for you. This is of course flexible and can be evaluated as we review our work periodically.
