About me and my therapy practice

Hi there, I am a warm and compassionate counsellor and psychotherapist who provides a confidential and non-judgemental therapeutic service for Adult clients (18+.) I have 9 years of experience working with clients therapeutically and in this time I have worked with a variety of client issues including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, family issues, low self-esteem, bereavement/loss, coping with caring responsibilities and loneliness, to name a few. My training and work experience covers many other areas so just ask if your not sure.

Having had counselling myself I understand how difficult taking the first step to improved mental health can be. Sessions are very informal, are 50 minutes long and begin with an initial assessment. This session allows you an opportunity to discuss your concerns or anxieties about the counselling process in an open and supportive environment. This session will also allow you to tell me of the difficulties you are experiencing presently and provides a space where we can together create a plan to overcome your difficulties.

I offer both short and long term work, depending on the issues presented at your initial assessment, in a very comfortable environment. Please get in touch if you think I can support you in any way.

What I can help with

Anxiety, Bereavement, Depression, Loss, Relationships, Anger management, Redundancy, Stress, Work related issues

Types of therapy

Brief therapy, Humanistic, Integrative, Transactional analysis

Clients I work with

Trainee, Adults, EAP

How I deliver therapy

Long-term face-to-face work, Short-term face-to-face work, Time-limited

About me and my therapy practice

Hi there, I am a warm and compassionate counsellor and psychotherapist who provides a confidential and non-judgemental therapeutic service for Adult clients (18+.) I have 9 years of experience working with clients therapeutically and in this time I have worked with a variety of client groups including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, family issues, low self-esteem, bereavement/loss, coping with caring responsibilities, loneliness and PTSD, although my training covers many other areas.

Having had counselling myself I have walked in the client’s shoes and I understand how difficult taking the first step to improved mental health can be. From experience I find that the first session (the 50 minute initial assessment) allows a client the opportunity to discuss their concerns or anxieties about the counselling process in an open and supportive environment whilst also providing an opportunity for client and therapist to assess our compatibility.

I offer clients a professional experience and I draw on my knowledge and training in various theories and techniques to create an individual therapy plan for my client. The goal of my clinical work is that a client will feel part of the therapy process from its beginnings and that an inclusive process continues to allow the sessions to be tailored to meet the needs of my clients and their individual goals.

I offer both short and long term work, depending on the issues the client presents at their initial assessment.
