About me and my therapy practice
I work with a wide range of difficulties, including self esteem issues, depression, anxiety, pregnancy & birth related issues, relationship difficulties and life transitions, with people from all walks of life.
I am particularly interested in working with depression and anxiety. I am using a research-based protocol from Transactional Analysis specifically for the treatment of mild to moderate depression and anxiety. Typically, clients working in this way see significant improvements within 8-12 sessions of therapy.
As a trained doula, I feel passionately about supporting women through the transition of pregnancy and birth into motherhood. I have experience of supporting women through pregnancy related difficulties, birth trauma and postnatal depression.
Walk and talk therapy
Walk and talk therapy is an alternative to working in the traditional therapy room setting. Rather than sitting inside four walls, we literally go outdoors to walk and talk, exploring issues and problems in the natural environment. You set the pace - whether it be a brisk stroll, or meandering with a bench stop - you decide what works for you. Walking alongside each other, literally and metaphorically, can feel like being on more of an equal footing. This can enable you to open up more and engage with difficult feelings, making your sessions more productive.
What I can help with
Anxiety, Bereavement, Child related issues, Depression, Identity issues, Life coaching, Loss, Personal development, Pregnancy related issues, Relationships, Self esteem, Spirituality, Stress, Women's issues, Work related issues
Types of therapy
Humanistic, Integrative, Transactional analysis
Clients I work with
Adults, Children, Families, Groups, Older adults, Young people
How I deliver therapy
Long-term face-to-face work, Online counselling, Short-term face-to-face work, Time-limited

Rhythmic exercise, such as walking, can in itself be soothing, helping you to relax, making sessions more productive. Being in a natural environment seems to enable new, creative ways of thinking to come to light; it’s as though the exercise and the freedom can enable you to see things from a different perspective, opening up new possibilities, finding solutions where perhaps you were unable to before.
We are increasingly cut-off from our connection to the natural environment and nature, and yet walking grounds us, enabling us to re-connect to the world around us, to tap into a sense of well-being and calmness, whilst at the same time giving us some feel-good endorphins. Walking and talking can help with many issues, such as depression and anxiety, low self esteem, relationship difficulties, life transitions, grief and loss.
