About me and my therapy practice
I provide a confidential, non-judgmental, compassionate space for you to explore your feelings, build resilience and find new ways forward. I know that starting counselling can be daunting so I endeavour to work collaboratively with you to meet your needs at a pace and depth you feel comfortable with.
I offer warm, unconditional listening and support and have experience of working with a wide range of issues including: anxiety, stress, low confidence, relationship difficulties, parenting, work/career issues, life transitions and grief/loss.
I have a particular interest in bereavement having volunteered as a bereavement support worker at Dorothy House Hospice Care for the past 8 years. I also work as a freelance counsellor for We Hear You who support anyone affected directly or indirectly by cancer and other life threatening illnesses.
I have a Diploma in Humanistic and Integrative Counselling from Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling. I am a member of the British Association For Counselling and Psychotherapy and work in accordance with their ethical framework.
Practice description
Initially I offer a free 20 minute meeting in person or on the phone. This is to enable both of us to assess if we feel comfortable working together and if I am the right counsellor for you.
I then offer 8 sessions with the opportunity to review and extend.
