About me and my therapy practice
I'm Victoria Kearns (she/her), a COSRT and MBACP registered Integrative Psychotherapist with specialist training in working with couples and with people with relationship and psychosexual problems.
I support clients in-person from my London Shoreditch and Watford Herts practices as well as online.
I offer a safe, compassionate and non-judgemental space in which you can explore and reflect on your relationship or sexual challenges, the way in which these affect you and your hopes for change. I support you in discovering more about yourself and about how you would like to grow personally and in your relationships - facilitating change towards greater self-love, acceptance and greater satisfaction in your connection with others.
I commonly support clients with:
Relationship conflict
Communication difficulties
Emotional or physical intimacy issues
Repeated relationship patterns
Neurodiversity (ADHD & ASD) in relationships
Cheating/affairs and their aftermath
Exploring consensual non-monogamy
Finding greater joy in sex
Recovery from sexual trauma
Low desire and desire discrepancy
Challenges initiating sex
Painful intercourse
Vaginismus, vulvodynia, anodyspareunia
Erectile dysfunction and rapid ejaculation
Difficulties with arousal and orgasm
Fertility issues
Life transitions
Practice description
Talking therapy can help when you are feeling stuck, unhappy or in crisis, or looking to resolve an issue, either in relationships with other people or within yourself. Through support, empathy, analysis and interpretation I will help you explore your situation, your feelings and resistances and help bring about change, if necessary. Sometimes we will look backwards, reflecting on your childhood, past relationships or the dynamic between yourself and your partner, and at other times we will look forwards, and I may invite you to try different ways of connecting with yourself or others to facilitate change, if required.
In supporting you I see myself as a fellow traveller who wants the very best for you. Through reflection, exploration and sometimes challenge my aim is to support you in knowing and understanding yourself better, opening the way for new ways of connecting with yourself and with those you love.
My first session
Our initial 50-minute session is an assessment session. It provides the opportunity for you to share what has been happening for you and the changes you would like to make, to ask questions about how the therapy may unfold, and for us all to assess if it feels right to work together at this time.
