About me and my therapy practice
Thank you for taking the time to look at my page. My name is Karen Livermore, I am a qualified counsellor and member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and I work within their ethical framework and boundaries.
I am a Holistic Therapist and Therapeutic Coach. Sometimes we feel so overwhelmed that it is hard to relax, this can make us irritable, stressed, anxious and unable to cope with simple aspects of our life. When we feel calm, we feel balanced, connected and we can better cope with the demands of daily life. When our emotional and physical wellbeing are in tune and aligned we feel better within ourselves and are able to live our full life, we can manage stress-related conditions, and improve overall well-being.
I am a Fully Qualified Integrative Counsellor, I use a Therapeutic Coaching approach combining some elements of counselling, while predominantly using a coaching perspective. My aim is to empower you to free yourself from old patterns and gain a deeper understanding of who you really are. Together we can work through your inner limitations, gain clarity on your life purpose and create goals and real strategies for your success.
I work with my clients to explore the issues that are causing them concern and decide on the best treatment to use for their particular problem. My approach is holistic which simply means that I consider your needs as a unique individual and focus on all aspects of you as a whole. Our sessions centred on you and your healing journey empowering you to reconnect within yourself for lasting change.
Stress and anxiety can unsettling also confusing, by working together at your own pace we can explore tools and techniques that can empower you to find your own inner path journey to help you to reconnect to your inner self and live a more empowered life and be guided back to achieve confidence and clarity.
I worked for many years with children counselling in schools and also in private practice with children and adults. My work focuses on creativity using art, play and imagery as I feel that many of our fears and anxieties are deeply locked within our unconscious, creativity can help to unlock these emotions.
I like to empower people so that that they can be their true and best self, my aim is help you to reconnect you to your heart, body, mind and soul to rewire your mind and reframe your emotions. Relaxation is key to my work as when we are calm we can make better decisions and have better emotional and physical wellbeing. Together we can work through your inner limitations, gain clarity on your life purpose and create goals and real strategies for your success.
I have a deep interest in the psychology of Carl Jung, this has led me to take on a more holistic and spiritual approach (mind, body and soul). Through this I became more aware of the body’s energy systems and this encouraged me look at the person as a whole, to create a unique and wonderful experience that will help your physical and emotional energy to flow freely and restore feelings of wellbeing. Helping you to reconnect to your best self and live a more empowered life while taking the time to heal and achieve confidence and clarity. By working together at your own pace we can explore tools and techniques that can empower you to find your own inner path journey.
I integrate different modes of creative therapy and relaxation including Holistic Therapy and Coaching, Mindfulness and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) to treat the whole person’s wellbeing. Life is about balance, sometimes the balance can shift leaving us feeling stuck, tired and fatigued, relaxing and healing treatments can help to get your life, mind and body back to balance.
My first session
New clients receive an initial meeting before proceeding. This appointment is for around 50 minutes to allow you to talk about what you what like and it is an opportunity to think about your difficulties and consider what support will be most helpful for you.
