Availability
Welcome. I work on weekdays from 07.00 am until 9.00 pm and at weekends by special arrangement. I always try to accommodate clients’ availability and needs, so please do not hesitate to get in touch and we can discuss how we can work together. I offer a free initial 20 minute online or phone session to explore your reasons for seeking counselling and what you hope to gain from it and answer any queries you might have.
About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified integrative counsellor who uses a variety of recognised therapeutic approaches to suit clients’ individual needs, and I strive to create an empathic and confidential environment bound by the BACP Ethical Framework.
I genuinely believe, that with trained, empathetic, and non-judgemental support, everyone can work toward resolving or at least coming to terms with what is troubling them, and I feel it is my privilege to assist them in this process.
Practice description
I practise privately face-to-face or online from my home between Putney Heath and Wimbledon Village, walking and talking on the Common, and even in your home.
I work with adults of all ages, backgrounds, and circumstances. Sessions are for 50 minutes and I encourage clients to attend on the same day and at the same time each week although I recognise people's busy lives don't always make this easy and I try to be as flexible as possible.
You may just want to get something off your chest or you may want to work on things which will take more time. Whatever, the number of sessions you want is entirely in your hands.
I only work within my professional competency and if I feel I am not equipped to assist you I can signpost or refer you, but only after a discussion with you.
My first session
In our first session, you may well be apprehensive, especially if you have not received counselling before or are unsure what to expect, and I will do my utmost to put you at ease in an environment that feels safe for you.
We will begin by establishing the basis of our working relationship which will include recognising the ethical and safe nature of our work, what you hope to gain from counselling, and some ways in which we can work towards your goals.
It has likely taken you considerable courage even to consider counselling, and some of your processing will be emotionally painful for you, but I will be there to support you and I hope, through our sessions together, you will reap your work’s potential benefits.
