About me and my therapy practice
Who are we and what do we do?
I am a fully Accredited Counsellor, with a Degree in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), offering Mental Health and Wellbeing Support throughout the UK.
I completely understand how nerve-racking it can be to reach out to someone for help. However, as an experienced Counsellor, also able to draw upon CBT and Mindfulness in conjunction with being a Life and Executive Coach, my role is to make that step as easy as it possibly can be for you.
I work collaboratively with you to offer a tailor-made approach, depending on your individual needs.
At all times we will work at your pace, with compassion and confidentiality at the core of everything that we do.
Specialism
I offer one to one Mental Health and Wellbeing support, specialising primarily in Depression, Stress Management (either work or home based), Anxiety (Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Phobias, OCD etc), Self Esteem, Relationship Issues, Bereavement and Loss.
This can be delivered on a 1:1 basis in Oxfordshire or Rickmansworth in Hertfordshire.
Mindfulness
Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Sessions are also offered, in the form of an 8-week program of weekly group sessions. This is a beautiful blend of ancient wisdom, alongside the research rigour of CBT.
This is an evidenced based program both practiced within and recommended by the NHS.
Evidence Led
There is a great deal of research evidence to show that CBT works effectively in treating a variety of mental health conditions. This research has been carefully reviewed by the National Institute for Clinical and Health Care Excellence (NICE).
NICE provides independent, evidence-based guidance for the NHS on the most effective ways to treat disease and ill health. CBT is also recommended by NICE for the treatment of such conditions as Depression and Anxiety Disorders.
