About me and my therapy practice
Covid-19 (Coronavirus)* For as long as the pandemic continues and restrictions are in place, my practice will be entirely online. Several options are available for sessions: Skype, WhatsApp Video, FaceTime, Zoom - or just regular phone calls.
Well done for taking the first step. I am a registered and accredited psychotherapist with over 10 years experience - I am a Psychodynamic Counsellor that means we will focus on both past and present -this entails longer term work that seeks to get to the root of the problem rather than focus on surface symptoms. My approach to therapy is to create a safe place for you. Through our therapeutic relationship, we can then discover together how to work on your concerns, and for you to make sense of what is happening in your life.
The idea of therapy is to explore your thoughts and feeling that can be scary. I am aware that seeking help might not be easy. We all experience challenges and difficulties in life.
An initial appointment is offered as soon as possible after our first contact. During that meeting we will discuss the issues that you believe are most important, and assess how we might work together.
My first session
We can talk together first on the phone to see how we both feel about working together and what it is you are looking for
The session will be for 50 minutes. I offer appointments weekly, however the frequency is tailored to each individual and can be discussed in the initial consultation.
We will work together in order to find ways that will help you through your difficult time.
