About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I’m Marion and I am an experienced Integrative Counsellor. Choosing the right therapist for yourself or your young person is essential and can sometimes feel quite overwhelming. It is therefore helpful for me to tell you a little bit about myself and the therapy I offer.

I provide a client led, warm, empathic and non-judgemental approach, working with both young people and adults. My ability to build authentic trusting relationships has been key to creating a safe and supportive therapeutic environment for my clients.

Practice description

At present, I deliver an online counselling service, although I am able to visit homes and other settings, in certain circumstances.

Combining different therapeutic approaches such as person centred, transactional analysis, CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) and DBT (dialectical behavioural therapy), I am qualified to offer support to both adolescents and adults.

You may be feeling anxious, low in mood, or are experiencing difficult thoughts. It’s possible you have been impacted by significant, traumatic or other life events, or you may want to explore yourself and your life experiences further. These are all areas we can explore together through the counselling process.

Alongside my private practice, I work as a counsellor within a specialist therapeutic service in Aylesbury. I also offer talking therapy at a secondary school, and work for a service offering therapeutic and practical support for neurodivergent individuals and families.

It is important to me that my practice is both neurodivergent and gender/sexuality diversity affirming. With this is mind I welcome feedback from my clients.

Prior to become a qualified counsellor, I worked for the NHS and privately for many years as an Occupational Therapist. I believe this compliments my inclusive and diverse therapeutic approach.

My first session

A free introductory 20 minute call is provided to explore your reasons for enquiring about counselling. I will aim to answer any questions you may have, and we can consider if I am the right therapist for you. Following on, I will send you a contract to read through, and sign, and we can arrange our first session.
