About me and my therapy practice
I believe deeply in the healing potentials of compassion, empathy and self-awareness as a means of healing psychological wounds and helping us reach our full potential. I aim to build an authentic and trusting relationship with the clients I work with and cultivate an environment of unconditional acceptance and non-judgement.
I work in a flexible way depending on the needs of each individual client, and am happy to work with people for as long as they find helpful, whether that be weeks, months, or years. My focus is on building a therapeutic relationship in which the client feels seen, heard, and accepted for who they are.
My training and qualifications include:
- Diploma in Transactional Analysis Counselling (2018)
- Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy (2021)
- Certificate in Jungian and Post-Jungian Clinical Concepts (2022)
- Certificate in Online and Telephone Counselling (2022)
Please feel free to contact me to arrange an initial consultation free of charge. We can discuss what you might like to work on and you can get to meet me and see what it would be like to work together.
After the initial consultation, if you decide to continue we would book an initial six sessions to explore what you'd like to work on. Following that I can work for as short or as long as necessary, depending on individual need, and reviewing along the way to check we're meeting your goals for therapy.
Sessions last an hour. I offer online (Zoom) and telephone sessions at £40, with a limited number of low cost slots at £25 for people on low incomes.
My first session
I offer a free initial consultation which last an hour. This is an opportunity for you to meet me and ask any questions you may have, as well as to talk through in more detail some of the issues you'd like to work on in therapy. There is no obligation to continue afterwards, and you can have some time to think about whether you'd like to start working together. It is generally recommended to speak to a few therapists to see who you'd work with best, as a good therapeutic relationship is one of the primary factors in successful therapy.
