About me and my therapy practice
Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile.
I hope to answer any questions you may have about counselling and myself.
I am Person Centered- so this means that my approach is Non Directive. It is all about you as a whole person. I work with everything in the room- and use my skills to facilitate an environment, where a person can draw up the conclusions that they need to. Therapists are not experts of individuals worlds- you are. The process of therapy will allow you to complete the work that you need to on yourself with a helping guiding hand.
Writing your skills in a paragraph is difficult but important so that you know that I am the right therapist for you.
I started my work over 12 years ago, where I worked with women, who lived with abuse. I moved my work onto working with children that had lived with adverse experiences at home- that were incredibly difficult for them to understand. I spent five years in this role, working with young people in prison and also within school environments.
I have always, always been (and remain) an empathic person that works with every person as a individual.
My work then took a turn into working in the field of Human Trafficking where I worked with children and adults that had been trafficked from all over the world, into the UK. Through this work, I worked with PTSD, CPTSD, Mental Health, Depression - the list goes on.
I have had a private practice for some time and have the up most respect for all those who enter into the therapeutic process.
