About me and my therapy practice
With a background in mental health and learning disability support I have worked with many different issues across many different age groups. I work from an integrative model combining elements from a range of modalities, with the aim of creating a non-directive, person centered, non-judgemental space, where we can work together enabling greater self-acceptance/understanding and positive change.
I believe all clients are individual and unique, and due to this will always try to listen and understand from your frame of reference. Working towards your own answers.
Due to the outbreak of covid-19 I am able to offer telephone, whatsapp video or zoom counselling in place of face to face until the end of the outbreak.
My first session
I understand entering into counselling can be a bit scary. I will try my best to provide a warm friendly environment where the client can feel safe. Together we will explore what has brought them to therapy and how they feel it may help. This is also a chance to explore how I work and how they feel about working with me. It is important that any therapeutic relationship is bound by trust to get the best possible outcome. At the end of the first session the client can make an informed choice on how they will to proceed.
