About me and my therapy practice
Hello I'm Fay - a very friendly and approachable Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Relationship Counsellor at Evolve Therapy Rooms based in Ryton, Tyne & Wear. I have a real passion of helping people to help themselves with extensive experience working with a range of mental health problems, with particular expertise in helping people with anxiety.
I work with clients either face to face, by video using Zoom or by telephone. I help adults, couples and children from age 8.
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy is a talking therapy that can help you change the way you think and behave. It shows you how your thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and behaviour are connected, which often traps people into a negative cycle. CBT helps you break this negative cycle and aims to give you practical help to stop you feeling bad, depressed or anxious.
CBT can be delivered in a relatively short period of time. You will need 6 sessions initially, which will be reviewed and extended by mutual agreement.
