About me and my therapy practice

I am a Person Centred therapist who helps  young people, adults and families both near my base in Buckinghamshire and nationwide through online video counselling sessions. I aim to provide my clients with an honest, warm and real relationship by offering a safe non-judgemental environment where they can feel confident that they are being heard and are given a space for self-exploration and a chance to enhance self-awareness and confidence.

My working relationship with my clients is based on trust and truth and I will aim to see the world through their eyes and help them to make sense of it in their own time and space.

The process is bound by strict confidentiality framed within limits and boundaries which have been agreed between both of us.

Practice description

As a Person Centred therapist, I work in a non-directive and flexible way, prioritising my client’s needs and works at a pace that suits them. My working method includes talking therapy, as well as play and creative methods, such drawing and painting.

I am also trained in family therapy and is able offer sessions for families who are struggling with communication and their home life

My first session

Following an initial assessment; for clients who prefer to work time limited we can agree the length of time you will be working together, this will usually be from 6-12 sessions in the first instance and will be reviewed as the weeks progress. For clients who prefer to work open-ended, work will also be regularly reviewed to ensure the work is meeting their goals and expectations.

Where possible we will meet once a week at the same time and location (face to face or online). Each session will last for 60 minutes for individual counselling. Family counselling tends to be between 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the number of participants.
