About me and my therapy practice
Online & telephone appts available - I believe counselling can help us to understand & process difficult feelings, survive & move on from painful life situations & past-hurts, build our sense of self-worth & help us to accept & value ourselves.
I'm a person-centred counsellor with 12 years of NHS counselling experience. I've worked more generally in the health field for 26 years.
In my private practice I work with a wide range of issues linked to relationships, family, supporting young people, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, stress, illness, loss & bereavement, sexual abuse & assault, & workplace issues.
As an NHS counsellor I specialise in sexuality, gender & sexual health.
I also have experience of working with students within both a school & university counselling service & with carers within a carer’s support project. I have a depth of experience in working with all genders including working with young people & older adults.
Please contact me if you have any questions or would like more information about my practice.
"When the other person is hurting, confused, troubled, anxious, alienated, terrified; or when he or she is doubtful of self-worth, uncertain as to identity, then understanding is called for. The gentle and sensitive companionship of an empathic stance… provides illumination and healing. In such situations deep understanding is, I believe, the most precious gift one can give to another.” - Carl R. Rogers
