About me and my therapy practice
I am a fully-trained gestalt counsellor. I offer empathic and confidential one-to-one support for adults who might be experiencing difficulties living with something from their past, present or future. You might be experiencing feelings such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, shame, anger, loss, or relationship difficulties. I am interested in how we can all learn to live and flourish, given the demands of modern life.
Gestalt counselling aims to consider our experience as a whole. My role is to help you become aware of how the different threads of your life might be interwoven. We can then ask: how can you change those things in your life that you would like to be different, or learn to accept those things that you can't change?
Meaningful change can happen when we devote some time to reflect on our selves and the situations we are in. Central to this is self-compassion, recognising how the ways we live now have developed to meet difficult situations. I aim to provide a safe non-judgmental space, working at at a pace that suits you. Another way of saying this is that I will meet and support you where you are in your life journey.
I offer sessions in person (changes to Covid-19 restrictions withstanding), online or by phone. Sessions usually last 50 minutes and cost £40. I offer lower rates to those who will find it difficult to meet this cost. If you want to find out more and/or arrange a session, you can call or email me using the contact details below.
