About me and my therapy practice

I am an integrative psychotherapist and my practice is based on the theories of Gestalt Psychotherapy and Systemic Family Constellations. I draw on these, my own life experiences, my skills and my knowledge to respond to the needs of each client. My clients tell me their stories and it is my experience that through the telling of these stories within a trusting, non-judgemental and accepting relationship they will become more accepting of themselves and look to the future with more clarity.

Practice description

I offer my clients an initial assessment session so we can decide whether psychotherapy or counselling would be helpful. If so, we then agree to a course of sessions. These may be time limited or open ended and usually take place weekly for 50 minutes.

My first session

During my first session I will invite my client to tell me what has brought them to therapy and why now. Depending on the needs of the client at that time, the first session may include a discussion of their place in their family . I will also give details to the client about the confidentiality of the session and my arrangements for supervision.
