About me and my therapy practice

How are you feeling as we come out of lockdown? Wobbly, unsure, discontent? Have you discovered aspects of life that have worked for you and that you don’t want to let go of? Does the prospect of socialising with people again and returning to the workplace may seem challenging? Perhaps you've been shaken by the experience of isolation. The changes that we have gone through may have opened up many issues that may have previously been hidden inside. Therapy can be a safe space for you to explore yourself and find out more about what you want and need.

My role is not to tell you what to do. I am here to listen to you and together with you to seek out your own words and your own way forward. People describe me as warm, nurturing, and non-judgemental. As you talk about whatever is important to you, I will encourage you to notice what is going on inside you. You and I will be open-minded detectives listening to the information within you: your emotions, physical sensations and your thoughts. This is a process that leads to finding your truth, clarity and your way forward in your life.

My therapeutic work includes working with individual staff in organisations on issues such as: work relationships, race and gender dynamics, bullying, and overwhelm.

My work in private practice and LGBTQ counselling organisations has been varied and includes issues of identity, relationships, bereavement, gender identity, anxiety, abuse, shame and sex.

I have furthered my interest in working with people around sex with psychosexual training.

If we both wish to proceed, the next step is to arrange a first session of 50 minutes by zoom or telephone.  If we both feel we are a match, then we set up to meet weekly at the same time, and day in a slot reserved for you.
