About me and my therapy practice
I'm an Accredited member of BACP. I have worked as a counsellor and psychotherapist with adults and young people since 2001. I qualified as an Integrative therapist, training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Humanistic and Psychodynamic therapy. I use a Humanistic/ Existential therapeutic approach. The aim of which isn’t solely to help alleviate psychological distress but to also create a happier and more fulfilling life.
I see all personal difficulties within the wider context of our life circumstances. My approach aims to simultaneously alleviate distress, physical symptoms and address their underline cause. I work collaboratively; developing an open and trusting therapeutic relationship. I believe that therapy can be a rare opportunity to access the often untapped capacity of the individual. A chance to find clarity of purpose through the distress of psychological fog, creating a vision and direction towards a more meaningful existence.
