About me and my therapy practice
Building a therapeutic relationship is an enjoyable and essential aspect of therapy and one that I feel privileged to be a part of. It is fulfilling to be a part of someone's life, to support growth and experience change.
Talking therapies give us the opportunity to explore our experiences introspectively, as though we are an onlooker of our life events past and present. As your therapist I will encourage and support you to define and discover how those experiences impact on your decisions and behaviour.
Accessing support can be a difficult step to take, the prospect of being one's true self with another can be daunting. My years of experience of working closely with people's lives has developed a broad-mindedness that is open to all thought. You will have a safe space where you will be met with a non-judgemental attitude. The sharing of all your thoughts and feelings will be encouraged and respected.
Therapy can be a life altering experience and I look forward to being a part of it.
Practice description
As an Integrative Therapist I will work with you from a humanistic - relational perspective. This is informed by Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural theory, which considers the past as impactful on present thoughts, feelings and behaviour.
The specific type of approach will depend on your needs and goals in attending therapy.
